Skeleton Children

So for Halloween my sister-in laws and I thought it would be cute to take the grandkids picture in their skeleton pj's since everyone had them. The pictures turned out pretty cute considering there were 5 very busy kids involved!!
I love this picture because all the boys attention is on the one girl, Lexi!

All and all it was a fun day and the kids are too cute as skeletons!

Twilight Quiz

So I thought it would be fun to do the Twilight Quiz and see what characters Kip and I were. It turns out Kip is Emmett and the description of him read:

So I can't believe it has been since June that I posted! Life has been crazy!! I had a lot of catching up to do so here we go...

Kyler Buries Nero

Well Kyler decided it would be funny to push all the bills and paper I was cutting for a primary lesson off the ottoman and right onto Nero. I think Nero is getting used to the hustle and bustle that Kyler brings to the house because he just laid there like nothing happened.

Spaghetti, Spaghetti

This is Kyler's first experience with spaghetti. He loved it and had to eat it with a spoon! I've always heard of the spaghetti pictures and kids getting it all over the place so I had to test it out for myself. Surprisingly Kyler is pretty clean. He spilled some on his tummy and got it on his face but other than that he wasn't dirty and the floor was clean too! I thought that was amazing itself!

True Redneck

Kip has allergies really bad and was trying to open a Benadryl wrapper (you know the impossible ones that will never rip) and pop! He had a permanent tooth from chipping his tooth at a scouting trip when he was 12 and it broke right off. 900 dollars later he has returned to normal and not so redneck anymore.

My 1st Garden

Kip thought it would be a good idea if we learned how to plant a garden this year so we started (well I started :-) to research what to plant, when to plant, and when to harvest. I was totally clueless before all this must needed research because I had never even attempted a garden before. I was out everyday pretty much staring at the ground and patienly waiting for something to happen. After many days of nothing it finally started to work! Everything I planted grew too!!These are some of our green bell peppers. We also grew peas, corn, green beans, carrots, tomatoes, onions and even watermelon! I never thought I had a green thumb because everything I plant usually dies. This gave me hope and I can't wait to do it again next year!

Strawberry Days Rodeo

It's family tradition to do to the Pleasant Grove Strawberry Days Rodeo every year. We cheer on our friends in the cow milking contest (which they won), and eat strawberries and cream. It is something we look forward to and it was so much fun this time with Kyler.

Match Maker

I had to put this picture on here. This is my niece Hali (Eric & Mindy's daughter) and my nephew Nicholas (Kris & Melissa's son). They don't see each other much but when they do they are the best of friends. I think they are so cute and I love to hear them talk about how much they love each other!

Kip's 25!!!

Kip turned 25 and I thought it would be fun to throw him a party. He thought it was just a family get together but all his friends showed up too! Hmm...fishy!!Kip & Kyler are best buddies!We set up a bouncy gym for the kids an Kyler couldn't get enough of it! He thought it was so fun to jump and play with the other kids.Kip got a trail camera and was so excited! Well he did over exaggerate a little for the camera!! Happy 25th!

Attempting a Hair Cut

Kip never would go in to get his hair cut (even though we have Autumn who is amazing) so I decided to attempt cutting his hair. It took me forever and I did it all with shears but I actually was so proud of it and think it looks great. It doesn't help that my husband is one sexy guy either!!!

Like Father, Like Son

Kip finally got out and rode Buddy at the Pleasant Grove Rodeo Grounds. He loves to ride horses and I think he looks pretty good on one too!
Kyler is just like his daddy. He got on this saddle, and with his grandpa watching him close by, rode until we forced him off. I love how he is holding the straps like reigns. He is such a cowboy!

Here Fishy Fishy

We have started to go fishing a lot more latley and we love it! We went during the White Bass spawn and caught a ton. Seriously it was like every cast we rilled in something. It started to rain but when it cleared up there was a awesome rainbow. So Kyler's eyes are kinda closed but I still thought it was adorable. It's a mom thing I guess!

Guess Who??

Kyler was at Great Grandpa Spencer's and his cousin Garret decided to put this disguise on him. To our surprise Kyler wouldn't take them off. He just thought it was the funniest thing ever!!

Take Me Out To The Ball Game

Two teams, two days a week, two games each day, for a grand total of 4 hours at the ball field! Softball season has arrived and eventhough we got a cold start (as you can tell with Kyler all bundled up in his dad's hoodie) it is always fun to cheer on the boys! Go Seasons and TimpRidge!

Mumzeys!

My mom and I decided to start a business which made fun and trendy bags, carseat covers, diaperbags, etc. She had a whole stash of fabric so I talked her into putting it to good use and so Mumzeys came about! We have a blog and to get to it you can just click "Mumzeys" under Friends and Family.

Oh and that is my sister Jenny posing so wonderfully for us!

Tri Woman!

I have completed my very first triathlon! It was the Icebreaker Tri in American Fork and I did it!! The race ended up being a reverse Tri which meant you Ran 3 miles, Biked 12 miles, then Swam 300 meters. My sister Becca, and friends Kara and Kim raced with me and we all finished! Kip and Kyler were there to cheer me on every step of the way. I never thought in my life that I would be able to say that I accomlished a triathlon...Crazy!

Our Trip to St. Louis

Overall our trip was great! We were able to see some great college wrestling, the Budwiser Clydesdales (one of Kip's dad Ralph's dreams), and have Kyler swim for the first time. We celebrated Easter, saw the St. Louis arch, and witnessed some pretty bad flooding. It was so great and now we are hooked!

Cool Dude

Kyler absolutley loved his sunglasses he got in his Easter basket. We couldn't even take them off of him. He either had them on his face or was carrying them in his hands. He was known as our "Little Dude" for the day.

The Easter Bunny in St. Louis

Easter was so much fun this year. It was Kyler's first Easter and we were still in St. Louis for the wrestling tournament. It was snowing outside so we had it in our hotel room where Kyler found his basket and went on an Easter egg hunt with dad. He loved to grab the eggs and found it even more exciting when they ended up on the floor.

Trying New Things

So Kyler has been enjoying trying new foods lately. Here he is with a zwieback toast that are so messy I don't even know if they are worth it but he loves them.

Kyler's first taste of pizza! He loved the crust. When I took it away he wasn't to happy. So much like his dad it's crazy!

Fritos aren't in his food choices yet but Kyler loved the bag. He chewed on the corner for a good 20 minutes.

Go Hawkeyes!!

For Christmas I gave Kip a trip to go see the 2008 NCAA Divison 1 Wrestling Championship in St. Louis, Missouri. We took Kyler because we thought we should get him started young! It was a fun family trip where we cheered on the Iowa Hawkeyes who took home the #1 team trophy!!

We looked all over for a Hawkeye shirt for Kyler and could not find one. So I went to Target and got a plain black shirt and a cheap yellow one. I cut out the Hawkeye design, going off Kip's hat and sewed it on with a sewing kit from the hotel. I was so excited when it was done because I think all the hard work paid off!

All and all this trip was great. Kip was able to fulfill one of his dreams and Kyler and I were able to be there for it!

Bumbo Chair

Kyler loves the Bumbo chair! I finally gave in and got one because all I've heard was good things about them. He is starting to sit but gets tired so this is such a great solution. It keeps him practicing on sitting but will support him if he gets tired. I really think he just loves to be around us and seeing what's going on.
